I'm happy to be a part of this crazy missionary family. I love teaching and have a desire to teach wherever I am in the world. I attended Spring Arbor University and there I met Matt and he introduced me to the idea of becoming missionaries someday. After graduating, I taught 7th and 8th grade math for 6 years before we felt the call to the Philippines.
In Butuan City, I home schooled Chloe and am planning to do that at least for the first year of our return. I really enjoy working with young people and I am excited to see exactly how God will use me in our ministry to the people of Manila. I love cooking and having people in our home. It excites me to see our own children learning to love God and his people.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading novels, cooking, baking, and playing my family. I love to be outdoors and especially enjoy the beach. Which is good since the Philippines has a lot of those! What I miss most about the Philippines when I am gone is the people. I have never met a more loving and welcoming group of people.
I am really looking forward to the adventures that God has for our family and I trust that you will be praying as God works out all the details. I have found that God is the master of “perfect timing” and it marvels me that He knows exactly what we need when we need it. I trust that you will pray along with me that we can follow the plans He has set before us.
